ROLE: 2D Design Lead
As the 2D Design Lead for Creatividad Silvestre | Wild Creativity, I spearheaded the visual design strategy for this award-winning, interactive exhibit, which immerses visitors in the fascinating intersection of engineering and nature. Drawing inspiration from the principles of biomimicry, the exhibit showcases how natural systems can influence human design solutions.
The project began with a strong design collaboration, where I partnered with another designer to combine our unique perspectives. Together, we ensured the visual language was both conceptually rich and engaging, setting the foundation for a design that would resonate with our audience. Throughout development, we worked closely with our target audience, ensuring the design was human-centered and accessible for all ages.
The look and feel of the exhibit were also informed by EDGE guidelines, ensuring the design resonated deeply with our target audience. Throughout the development process, I worked closely alongside the R&D team, 3D designers, and the fabrication team to ensure every step aligned with the overall vision. This collaborative approach ensured that the design not only met aesthetic and functional goals but was seamlessly integrated with the technical requirements and the needs of key stakeholders.

ROLE: 2D Design Lead
As the 2D Design Lead for AlegreMENTE | Happy Brain, I played a central role in creating an immersive, illustrated world that invites visitors to celebrate early childhood development. The exhibit, set in a whimsical storybook forest, brings to life a vibrant environment where both human and animal families come together to explore the connections that foster brain health and happiness.
In collaboration with an external artist, we crafted a rich visual experience that blends playful, childlike illustrations with educational content. The design encourages sensory exploration and interactive learning, offering children and caregivers alike opportunities to engage with the exhibit through dance, interactive mini-games, and quiet reflection. I worked closely with the artist to ensure the visual elements were not only aesthetically engaging but also aligned with the educational goals of the exhibit.
The design was carefully developed alongside the project’s research and development teams, with a strong focus on creating a bilingual (Spanish/English) space that was welcoming and accessible. Every detail, from the vibrant colors to the interactive elements, was created with the goal of making the exhibit both educational and fun for young children while empowering caregivers with valuable insights into supporting healthy brain development.

ROLE: 2D Design Lead
As the 2D Design Lead for Snow: Tiny Crystals, Global Impact, I helped bring to life an engaging and educational experience that explores the captivating world of snow and its global importance. The exhibit takes visitors on a journey from the microscopic beauty of snow crystals to the complex, layered snowpack, offering a hands-on exploration of how snow shapes our planet and plays a vital role in sustaining life.
Working closely with a team of developers and designers, I crafted visual elements that made the science accessible and visually compelling for young learners (ages 9-14). Through interactive displays, visitors are invited to peer inside the illustrated snowpack to observe its layers over time, experience a snowstorm up close to examine crystal formations, and learn about the critical role snow plays in regulating water supply and climate. The design integrates stories from Iñupiaq elders, blending cultural perspectives with scientific content to provide a holistic view of snow's significance.
Throughout development, I collaborated with experts from the Geophysical Institute at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and other stakeholders to ensure the design was not only educational but also scientifically accurate and engaging. The exhibit was built to resonate with visitors, sparking curiosity about the wonders of snow while raising awareness of climate change’s impact on our snowy landscapes.
